Nvidia gtx 580 screen flickering in Legend of Grimrock
I enjoyed playing this game but not for the whole time and don’t know the exact reason behind this one as I have most recent display drivers and my graphics card are all supportable. So I am with constant error message “video card has stopped responding and has recovered" and the screen flicks , I have set my resolution to fullscreen mode at 2560x1600. When i change my resolution to 1024x768 there are some white flashes intermittently, with some flickering pixels. So I just tried with the LoG config and debug process but result was the same. And after the LoG loading screen finished the screen went black. also there was shocking fps after I started the game. I also tried with the vsync turning on and that too did not solved. So what could be the issue regarding this one as I am not able to get exact solution.

You said regarding the vsync right and what was the solution? As it was solved in my case , but I think you may not be having more idea regarding this case and you need to see the vsync in the config file and I need to say that you need to force vsync on your video card control panel settings. You also need to make sure that you have installed the most recent version of graphic card drivers on your system. And regarding the config file if the vertical sync value is 1 then it means that vertical sync is off and 2 means with sync is on and 3 indicates triple buffering. And I suppose setting it to value 2 means turning on the vertical sync will help in your issue. And according to these changes, it came into view that the main menu more stable.in addition if that does not solve your issue, I tried with one more . fired up LoG and it worked fine and in both the cases both full screen and in windowed all was fine.

It was not solved yet. So guys what could be the main issue . I thought I have messed up with the nvidia setting and was solving this bug while playing other games also . I tried with the solution above but was not finding any way. I then looked in the LoG graphics problems . and went in some settings and I gave up when I realized they had no effect on LoG . I was with an "restore" button in the drivers to restore the settings to default. But attempting that , there was no effect. Can you guys state some further?

According to me, my friend was also had the same issues and it was solved with Crossfire/SLI, and I suppose it solved it by turning that off.so moving in the nvidia control panel options and then disabling AA, forcing vsync solved.
