Problem with Internet Explorer.exe Missing
hi there

I am facing a strange qury regarding my web browser. when ever i try to work on IE it says that .exe file is missing. I tried installing new one but no result.

Please help me

your views will be appreciated

Try using the IE Repair tool. Go to Start> Programs> accessories> system tools> system information>tool button> IE repair

Try installing 98se over itself, just pop in the cd, go to my computer & right click on your cd rom icon, then click explore, then look for setup.exe & click on that, it will ask if you want to save your old windows files, choose no, you will not lose any of your other installed programs by doing thi

It's the Internet Explorer executable.

Do you have Internet Explorer installed, and does it work like it should?
In that case, do this:

Select any JPEG file.

. Highlight the file by clicking on it once
· Hold down the shift key and then right-click your mouse
· Select "Open With" from the menu
. Hit the Browse button, and navigate to Iexplore.exe in your Program Files\Internet Explorer folder, highlight the file, and hit 'open'

Now be sure to check the box, "Always use this program to open these files".
· Click "OK" and you should be all done!

If you do have Internet Explorer installed and you would like to know if the iexplorer.exe is there and working ok, you could try this

from start menu click run
type in
sfc /scannow

this will verufy that all windows component/files installed are correct and in working order (including the iexplorer.exe)!
