Nintendo DSI encourages developers to create

Nintendo, on the Nintendo Developer Conference encouraged developers
have not only games for the new DSI, but also other applications. That
would be sold through the online DSI Shop.

Visitors to the Nintendo Developer Conference, recently held in London
was, according to Develop Nintendo told that more applications for the
new DSI is needed. The conference, which is only accessible to
developers, Nintendo would not just more games for the new handheld
asked: Nintendo hopes that developers other applications for the DSI
will build.

Games and other applications can be sold via the DSI Shop, on April 3
- together with the European launch of the DSI - is put online.
Nintendo seems to follow the example of Apple, via the App Store
applications for the iPhone sells . The Japanese version of the DSI
Shop is already online. The only real example of such a third-party
application, Namco Bandai's Mojipittan Shiritori Clock, which was
recently released in Japan. In theory, developers would be able to use
the DSi's microphone, camera and multimedia capabilities to create
these bite-sized and relatively cheap apps.
