We have been seeing newer more advanced wireless technologies from the past few years. Currently usable one is Advanced LTE. The researchers are expecting that in the couple of years we can see wireless connections that hit 600-900 Mbps. It would be 15-20 times faster current4G LTE speed. A new breakthrough in wireless technology has achieved by University of Pittsburgh researchers could make those technologies obsolete in short time. They achieved wireless internet bandwidth might be 1,000 times faster than what we use today. Right now we have only gigahertz frequency and team theoretically managed to get terahertz frequency. Their team expected to hit the 15.6 THz during experiments. They are aiming for to achieve speeds in the petahertz frequency.
