Flash is not working on Internet Explorer.

Flash is not working on Internet Explorer. I lately noticed a patch on a website page which read that it cannot read flash. And I believe flash player is installed on my PC. I don’t understand what the issue is. Does anyone know what’s wrong and come up with a solution that can probably fix it. Please check if the add-on is disabled or are you using the 64-bit edition of Internet Explorer. If either of them is the case, Adobe Flash will not work. Active-X Filtering in Internet Explorer 9 can also prevent the add-on from working. Please check all of these and let me know. And I’m not really sure I’m using 32-bit or 64-bit. Any way to find out? To check the edition of the Internet Explorer you are using. Do the following: Open Internet Explorer, and then do one of the following:  In Internet Explorer 8 o click the Help menu o Click About Internet Explorer.  In Internet Explorer 9 o Click the Tools button, o Click About Internet Explorer. If you're using the 64-bit edition of Internet Explorer, 64-bit Edition will appear to the right of the version number. If you're using the 32-bit edition, nothing will appear to the right of the version number. So what is an option to change it? Will I have to uninstall and reinstall a fresh copy of IE? Or can I can switch between the bits on the preinstalled version? If you have installed either Internet Explorer 8 or Internet Explorer 9, both a 32-bit and a 64-bit edition of the browser are available on your computer. 1. Click the Start button 2. Click All Programs 3. Click Internet Explorer. Don't click either Internet Explorer (64-bit) or Internet Explorer (No Add-ons). I would recommend the following changes on your system and enable the following. 1. Allow Previously Unused Activex controls to run without prompt 2. Automatic prompting for activex controls 3. Binary and Script behaviors 4. Download Signed Activex controls 5. Initialize and script Activex controls not marked as safe for scripting (this should prevent the prompt). 6. Run Activex Controls and plug-ins 7. Script Activex Controls marked safe for scripting Reply With Quote #8 Unread 24-03-2012 KirtiPatel KirtiPatel is offline Member Join Date: Jul 2011 Posts: 280 Re: Flash is not working on Internet Explorer. I advice that you may try to use MSE to check the virus and reinstall Adobe Flash Player. 1. Download Microsoft Security Essentials from http://www.microsoft.com/security/pc-security/mse.aspx.
