Dell will not enter into the smartphone market

As announced some time ago, Dell had intention to enter the smartphone
market, and various rumors, that they wanted the first smartphone was
released in September 2009 but now everything seems smooth.

Indeed, Shaw Wu, of Kaufman Bros. analyst said that Dell has produced
two devices with Android, and the other one with Windows Mobile to
different mobile operators, but have not shown an interest in the
products.

The reason, again according to the explanations of Wu, is the great
gap between the proposed devices and smartphones offered by
competitors such as HTC, Samsung, Nokia, etc. But despite this, Dell
will continue to work to enter the mobile market.

More precisely, we assumed that the Texan firm hand to put the
portfolio and buy some company that already has experience in the
field.

HP Wins $50 Million Information Technology Leasing

HP announced that it has signed a contract with Korea's Shinhan Bank
valued at up to $50 million for a technology solution to help the bank
improve its return on investment, enhance its business efficiency and
expand its operations.

Central to the contract is the sale-leaseback of Shinhan's information
technology assets, which will be financed by HP Financial Services,
the company's leasing and lifecycle asset management services
subsidiary. HP will partner with Shinhan to deploy new technology that
supports the bank's business plan to manage the disposition of old
assets in an environmentally responsible manner, simplifying the
technology lifecycle management process.

Previously, Shinhan Bank reduced operational costs and increased
system flexibility by migrating from mainframes to HP Integrity
systems to maintain a large core banking system. The successful
transformation paved the way for a new trend of mainframe downsizing
in Korea's banking industry.

"We're delighted to expand our relationship with a valued client and
help Shinhan Bank derive maximum value from its business technology
investment," said Tony O'Connor, vice president and managing director,
HP Financial Services. "In these difficult economic times, far-sighted

Nokia says gaming service is growing

The take-up of Nokia's N-Gage gaming service has accelerated since the
top cell phone maker has started to pre-install it in new mid- and
higher-end phone models, a spokesman said on Tuesday.

Nokia's mobile gaming push has encountered major challenges over the
years, with consumers shunning its dedicated gaming phones, and with
its new online gaming service, opened last year, yet to move beyond a
niche audience.

Nokia has not unveiled user numbers for its gaming service, but the
spokesman said almost 1 million players have created personal profiles
on the N-Gage community pages.

In late-October Nokia said players had created 400,000 personal profiles.

Consumers initially had to download the service themselves, limiting
the take-up to dedicated gamers, but over the year it has started to
sell many new models with pre-installed gaming service.

Nokia aims eventually to sell all digital content through its new
online Ovi store but will keep a separate N-Gage gaming service, at
least for now, a Nokia executive told Reuters in an interview earlier
this month.
